Love is complicated

At first, Ludwig didn't want to like her. Not that he hated (F/n), he was just.. hesitant. He didn't know if he should go for it or not. Relationships weren't his thing. But whenever he talked with (F/n) and got lost in her beautiful (e/c) eyes, he found himself yearning for more of her. But he always shot himself down, why would she be interested in him anyways? It was a constant battle of yes and no in his mind.

Love is blind

The longer he continued to admire from afar, the deeper he fell in love with her. He couldn't help but watch and admire she did things. Even the simplest things! From the simple act of smiling to the way she brushed through her silky, (h/l), (h/c) hair with her fingers. They all never failed to set his heart racing. (F/n) was just so perfect in his eyes.

Love is courage

After months of building up some courage and self-esteem, Ludwig (barely) managed to ask you out on a date, or an "informal gathering" as he called it. The poor guy couldn't put the words "You" "Me" and "Date" in one sentence without stuttering and blushing. After a small laughing fit, (F/n) spared the German with a "Sure, why not."

Love is looking good for you

"Bruder! Helft mir! Help me!" Ludwig groaned in frustration to Gilbert as he glared at the numerous laid-out clothes on his bed, "I can't put anything together that will look decent."

Gilbert only laughed and shook his head, "West, if you and (F/n) are friends, I don't think it should matter what you wear. I doubt she even cares if you look nice or not. (F/n) isn't picky like that."

The blonde only sighed and looked at his watch, "I have an hour to decide what to wear. Should I call Poland for advice?" He was desperate. Ludwig refused to be underdressed in front of (F/n).

Love is cheesy

Ludwig and (F/n) were already seven months into dating. (F/n) realized how good the German could be to her so she had agreed to be his girlfriend. He never would have guessed it, but Ludwig was very cheesy. He started to realize it when he went from calling her Liebe or Liebling to names like Kitten, my Queen, and for when he was feeling extremely cheesy, mein sweet potato. (F/n) wasn't complaining though, she loved this side of him.

Love is not fair

Along with being sweet, Ludwig was also jealous. He didn't mean to, but.. Why couldn't people understand that she was his? He tried so hard for her and finally, he had won her. But other men, //cough// Francis //cough// couldn't keep to themselves! It absolutely was not fair in his eyes. Single people can't throw themselves to just anyone! Ludwig was only thankful that (F/n) would either instantly, yet politely reject the man or kick him where the sun doesn't shine. //cough// Francis again //cough//

Love is accepting differences

It was expected. There is not a relationship out there that is perfect. The couple had their first, serious argument. The relationship was on the verge of turning fourteen months, not bad for a guy who was barely experienced in relationships. They were problem-free until that one, December night. It was a few days before Christmas and the pair decided to accept the invitation to Finland's Christmas Party. The drive there was rather, frustrating. Eventually, they were lost. Ludwig insisted that they follow the physical map, but (F/n) felt that it would be easier to stop and ask for directions.

Someone said something, the other interjected. This happened and vice versa. It didn't take long before the car was filled with shouting, stringed with a few profanities. But the two were adults, they were mature.

After a few minutes of silence, both coincidentally apologized at the same time. Chuckling at the coincidence, the two shared a quick kiss before settling on both of the tactics: Stop and ask for directions while showing the map.

Love is having fun with friends.. but missing you

Training. Ludwig loved this part of the day. Not only did he build strength and stamina, he also (secretly) enjoyed time spent with his best friends, Feliciano and Kiku. Man time, bro code, dude to dude, etc.

Training was traditionally just the three of them so (F/n) never minded when he woke up early in the morning to spend time with his friends. However, training would last the whole afternoon. That meant the whole afternoon without (F/n).

The trio sat under the shade of a tree for a quick break. The German couldn't help but take out his phone and quickly send (F/n) a text.

To: mein sweet potato

I miss you, Liebe

A few seconds later, a reply came back.

To: mein luddy bear

I miss you, too
Can't wait for you to come home. I have a surprise for you (-;

A light blush coated his cheeks as his thoughts lingered on what the surprise could be.

"Ve~ Doitsu, who are you-a talking to?" The Italian peeked over his shoulder.

He quickly hid the phone in his chest, shouting, "N-No one! Mind your business!"

Love is memories

"Oh my gosh, Lud! Look at this one!" The (h/c)-haired girl held up a picture of herself and him taking vodka shots at one of Gilbert's 'awesome' parties, "We were so wasted." Gilbert sent the picture to them the day after, laughing at how drunk they were the night before.

Ludwig chuckled and shook his head, "You were wasted. I can handle my liquor."

The girl disbelievingly raised a brow, "Oh, really? Remember that one time at Alfred's party last year? You were so drunk that you agreed to play strip poker and you ended up being butt-"

"OKAY. OKAY," The German interrupted and shuddered at the memory, "Mein Gott, that was embarrassing."

(F/n) only smiled and snuggled her blonde lover, "It's okay. You were cute and I'm glad I was there. I love making memories with you~"

Curse this thin skin. His cheeks were reddening as he wrapped an arm around her.

(F/n) said in a hushed, relaxed tone, "And I hope for many more to come."

Love is forever

"Do you, Ludwig, take (F/n) to be your lawfully, wedded wife?" The priest asked Ludwig, who was clad in a black suit and tie with black shoes.

With a firm nod, Ludwig answered, "I do."

"And do you, (F/n), take Ludwig to be your lawfully, wedded husband?" The priest turned to (F/n). She was wearing a beautiful, long, white gown while a long veil adorned her hair.

She couldn't wipe the smile off her face as she nodded, "I do."

The two took turns slipping the wedding ring on the other's left, ring finger.

When the priest saw that they were finished, he sent them a gentle smile, "By the power vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife and what God hath joined together, let no man nor woman put asunder. You may now, kiss the-"

"KISS HER LIKE A REAL GERMAN, WEST! I WANT TO SEE SOME TONGUE, JA!" A loud albino shouted from the best men's side.

Ludwig's face took in a crimson color, embarrassed by his brother. He quickly shot him a glare.

(F/n) giggled and pulled her husband in for a kiss, whispering, "I'll love you forever."
